2525 West End is a 14-story, 365,000 square foot office building, centrally located directly across from Nashville's Centennial Park, only minutes from downtown and I-440. In addition to the office building, this Skidmore, Owings & Merrill-designed property includes more than 65,000 square feet of retail including a major bookstore and several popular restaurants, with ample parking for tenants, retail customers, and building visitors.
Achieving the ENERGY STAR label for 2525 West End was the result of highly-efficient infrastructure (both original and retrofitted) and meticulous building management techniques. On the infrastructure side, 2525 West End uses variable frequency drives (VFDs) on all motors of 20 HP or higher with waterside economizer capabilities on the office tower package units. These HVAC efficiencies are complemented by high-efficiency (0.62 shading coefficient) thermal glass. Lighting efficiency is maximized as well, with tenant-area incandescent fixtures retrofitted with low-wattage fluorescent lamps; the parking garage also is illuminated with high-efficiency lighting.
