Tall House site at 45 Ionia

I think I might be the only one who didn't like the Tall House design. I liked the modernity of it, but I didn't AT ALL like the "Days Inn" setback layout that it had. I'm hoping they sell to another potential developer who creates something that would create more of an "urban canyon" down Ionia, even if it were a few stories shorter.

The decking and ramp left over from their trailer has been sitting there for 2 months now. I wish they would do something about it like putting it on Craigslist or Freecycle. The material is in good shape and might be useful for someone needing a wheelchair ramp at their home or a deck to grill on. Come on Tall House, finish the job! I'll put a FREE sign on it if you want.

You would be surprised how cheap some rooms can be downtown. Rooms at the Amway Grand and Courtyard (not to mention Days Hotel) routinely can be found during off-peak times for $89-$99. For any downtown that's a good deal. For hotels as nice as those, it's a steal. Having one company own the three primary downtown hotels leaves a lot of room for them to be cut throat with pricing.
