Millenium Park/Randolph St/Lakeshore East/Illinois Center

This area near the mouth of the Chicago River, was home to a massive industrial/shipping/rail complex throughout much of the late 19th/early 20th century.

It has gone through many changes leading up to its present use as an incredible office and residential complex, as well as Daley's "baby", the controversial Millenium Park. It is one of the largest redevelopment projects in U.S. history.
