UP|Upstate SC Calendar

Spartan

Recommended Posts

Since the Upstate events thread has been a relatively successful thread, I have asked to start an events calendar on UP specifically for the Upstate of SC. To get there you need to click "Calendar" on the yellow bar. The default view is for Providence, RI, so you have to go to the list at the bottom and select the Upstate SC link.

This will help track local events. This will be especially helpful for tracking zoning meetings, and neighborhood meetings, but members should also feel free to post more social events such as gallery openings and band dates and the like.

Lets not forget festivals and fairs, etc!

  • New Members (those with 10 or fewer posts) are not allowed to add events to the calendar. Feel free to submit events to this thread and I can add them to the calendar.

  • Regular members (those with 100 or fewer posts) can submit events to the calendar, however they go into a moderation queue and I have to approve the events to make them show.

  • Members+ (those with more than 100 posts) can post directly to the calendar without events going into a queue.

There is an RSS feed of the calendar available here. The RSS feed exports up to 50 items for the next 31 days. The RSS feed will update itself every 4 hours to display any items added/changed/deleted in the previous 4 hours.

If anyone finds any bugs in the calendar, or needs help posting to it, please post here. If you're overwhelmed by the technology, or just plain lazy, post your event here and I can add it to the calendar.

I think I found a bug.

Recurring events that fall on weeks which span months (i.e. the beginning of the week is in one month and the end of the week is in another, for example the week of May 28th through June 3rd) are not reflected.

Notice the events that are missing from this week.

Edit: The odd thing is that the events are missing from the weekly view, but they're there in the monthly view.
