So is one 2000 foot Chicago Spire drilling its way above Chi-town's skyline enough. Well 'scraper fanatics prepare to drool because a developer proposing a 2000 ft tweezer shaped HDTV broadcasting antenna doesn't think so.

If built, this bad boy will over shoot Canada's 1800 some off ft. CN tower as the world's tallest freestanding structure. It will also feature restaurants and an observation deck at the top while its base will become a 400 space parking structure.

Edit: Never mind a more recent article says the project is dead.

I was kind of hoping though. Oh well if Chicago Spire gets built there's bound to be developers wanting to build as tall if not taller.
