  1. Zoo plans $130M expansion for African exhibit http://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/print-edition/2013/07/05/scorecard-zoo-plans-130-million.html Although the zoo has improved steadily over the last decade, it still seems behind a lot of it's peer city counterparts...This is great to see and I think a good indication of the health and prosperity of the city ("...the zoo had a record year in 2012, with 778,000 visitors..."). My wife and I bought season passes this year...

  4. Not a restaurant, but I just felt the need to mention Foodie Call. I ordered from there tonight, and I do on almost a weekly basis. I think we are incredibly lucky for a metro of our size to have such a diverse selection of restaurants to be able to receive delivery from. Almost any cuisine you desire is available a call away. I think that Foodie Call is an asset to the city. In Chicago or New York, sure, I would expect this. But in Charlotte, I just can't believe that we have a food delivery service so diverse (and quick!) at our disposal. If you aren't familiar with it, you need to check it out if you like a night in, but don't want to cook!
