  2. Is this surprising? You're the most reliable and knowledgable source ever. Always, always spot. It would suck so much if you ever stopped discussing and sharing. anyone would be lieing if they said they don't get all giddy when they see your username in a thread

  3. I think this is worth bumping this topic for the breaking news: Same-sex Marriage is now legal in North Carolina! http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2014/10/10/5232525/nc-gop-leaders-given-until-noon.html#.VDhpzRZzCK8

  5. With no new photos in a while, I sought some out. Here is one from a recent visitor from NY, posted on the C-D site... from Love Circle. Imagine this shot in five years with (10-15?) new buildings: HCA; Sobro; Element; Buckingham; Sheet Music; Westin; Skyhouse; Virgin; Lennar; 505CST; Emery's CC Tower; 19th & Broadway twins; and the Turnberry twins. Here is the thread of this and other photos from this contributor... http://www.city-data.com/forum/nashville/556859-nashville-pictures-25.html

  7. ^Better it be moved than demolished. That's what should've been done with the house on the Virgin Hotel site.

  8. Well hey would ya look at NC deciding to join the 21st century. Absolutely love this nose, and to make an old (but still funny joke) now gay people can get married and be as miserable as the rest of us!

  9. A lot of the new sections of trail in Fayetteville held up pretty well to the heavy rains. Particularly the Clear Creek Trail. Johnson seems to be the 'flooding mecca' of NWA. But I couldn't tell any section of the Clear Creek Trail was ever under water. I was really surprised on the section of trail that goes under College Ave near Locomotion right next to Clear Creek. The northern extension of the Scull Creek Trail also seemed to hold up very well. But all the other usual spots in Fayetteville had the usual problems. Basically from Van Asche down to the one bridge between Sycamore and

  11. Thanks and yeah i did see that. it kinda made me mad because Florida was going to be the first in america to get the Japanese JR Shinkansens. That would of easily paved a way for GA SC NC and VA to compete and try to make either better lines or complete them to connect with Florida. Honestly i would love to take a Train from Columbia- Miami on a Shinkansen or a Eurostar or Acela.

  13. Your instincts are correct on this one. It (and party fowl) have a very 2nd Ave / Lower broad touristy blandness to them.

  14. Haha! I'm glad that I'm not alone on that. As soon as I saw that place and its faux 2nd level, I told my wife; "I'm not going there" "But I heard it's decent" "Don't care, not going" "But you love trying new..." "Nope" "But you love beer places and..." "Not going. Bull$hit building. Gimmicky tourist crap. Not going there" "O-K"

  15. Its over priced (sweet tea and their version of hot chicken plate with fries-16 bucks), filled with people who recently moved to nashville (our waiter, who moved here 3 months ago, had no clue where or who the other hot chicken places in town were). The interior design looked like someone took a tour of Nashville and then went and designed it the way the thought a Nashville restaurant should look. This place would be fine.....if it wasn't in Nashville, literally down the street from Arnolds/Hattie B's/Boltons

  16. Ah, well if there's that much time okay, but it is still so so strange it's not on the website when they have properties on there that arent opening until 2015. And the rooftop bar is going to be in the Le Meridian right?

  18. It sounds like adding lines is more important than taking care of the lines they have now.

  19. Frankly, I don't mind if people continue to hold their false perceptions of the difficulty of downtown parking. If they think downtown parking is too much to bother, then great! More seat at the bar for those that like true urbanism. If the seat is empty now, it won't be for much longer. I have never found difficulty parking downtown, regardless of the time of day. Or the day of the week. Clearly more people are desiring to move downtown, so its not like policy makers are making decisions that are pushing folks out. And companies don't locate downtown to reduce their costs. They do it for
