This building is going to look sweet on sunny afternoons. I cropped these photos to show only the most finished parts right now, and it really makes it easy to visualize how it’ll turn out.

The glass panels on the outside are blue and reflective, The glass in the inset areas is greener and transparent. Its going to have great contrast. The front white 8 floor facade is ALL VIDEO WALL.

New renderings have been posted. And a green element has been added to the facade of the corner hotel (1 Hotel). "the team is now proposing modifications to the project — specifically, the 1 Hotel component — to feature multiple environmentally friendly elements. It has enlisted Connecticut-based AgroScience Inc. to assist with a landscaped green wall feature that will be part of the exterior, according to the documents the city now has." https://www.nashvillepost.com/business/development/article/21067626/new-images-released-for-sobro-hotel-project

I went to the zoo today and saw the new Sumatran Tiger exhibit for the first time. It’s done remarkably well-great design, beautifully executed! (The tigers are still getting acclimated to their new home and not as visible as most would prefer. But with some patience I got to see and photograph one of the fellows.) The next project added will feature Komodo Dragons, and will be located adjacent to the new tiger exhibit.

Like guys. I really cannot reiterate enough. Rail Trail aint just a path anymore. This asset along with the Light Rail is the greatest catalyst this city has ever fudgeing seen.

I couldn't get the colors/gradients to match this particular test scheme - But this gives you an idea of the side lighting. It will definitely stand out - I'll be interested to see it all tied together along with the crown/pyramid.

277 rail trail ped bridge is on the move: I am really glad this is moving forward, but I still wonder -- what happens when you get to Stonewall Station? Does everybody take the stairs down to Wholefoods for Fiji water and Macaroons?

Took some screenshots from this video of Charlotte in 1969 and found their locations from Google Maps. It's always fascinating to see how different these locations look today than they did back in the late 60s. Wish I could time travel. The first location is Smith Jr. High School on Tyvola. Second is Tryon St. heading into Uptown. Those buildings in the foreground are where I-277 is today. The third is Freedom Dr. approaching I-85. That stretch was all wooded back then. Lastly, I-85 heading toward the airport before the Mulberry Rd. exit at the top of the hill. This was years before Billy Graham Pkwy would be a thing.
