  1. Spectrum does not have a great history with that. They had the opportunity to do this on their building on Michigan, but instead they located the restaurants in an interior food court, leaving blank wall and parking ramp entrances along the Michigan sidewalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I continue to bike there most Saturday mornings There are several groups of tents along the river there. It also looks like they are the process of upgrading the electric transmission towers that travel over the old dump. As of last week all the old towers were surrounded by wood platforms, which I believe are to prevent heavy equipment from sinking in the mud. New tower parts were on the ground beside. Anyway know the story on this upgrade? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yep Story just posted to MLive.com. It’s behind the paywall, so I’m not sure how to share it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Any updates on this ? I recently found the bike path around the dump and it does seem to be a good spot for a big solar farm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. See if you can figure out the history behind this. I found it in a parkway in the east hills neighborhood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. United way has posted an update. 200 families including 400 children served. https://www.hwmuw.org/blog/2019/8/26/fulton-manor-six-months-in-over-200-families-sheltered Drove by today. Looks much more quite than in the past. Very few cars in the parking lots.
  10. Please tell us that the Plant Parlor across the street is just moving, and there is not going to be two plant stores within a couple hundred feet of each other.
  11. Ok. But I’m curious why you think so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Redevelopment is good idea, but it might be a bit tricky since the buildings/property is not owned by a single entity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Mandating a percentage of affordable housing in a development is also known as "inclusionary zoning." While i also think it sounds like a great idea, it is illegal in the state of Michigan. State law would need to change to have something like in Boulder. Also, from what i understand with the point system that is used to allocate LIHTC grants, it is MUCH easier for a developer to do 40 units of low income all in one building than to do a mix of low income and market rate. It sound like this is one of the few projects where that extra effort was put in.
  14. Does anybody know What’s this Thing on top of the light pole being installed at the corner of wealthy and fuller? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
