  1. Took a scoot ride here yesterday with @popsiclebrandon it felt like we were in a whole new / different city. very impressive size and scale.
  2. This 1000% There has been a distinct paradigm shift in how we view the working office environment. We are now bearing witness to the death of the American Office. I don’t think we ever return to what it was before, no so I think we really should. A Friend who works at Publix said that productively almost doubled since they started remote working. That being said, places like publix have too much money invested in their brick and mortar locations to abandon it, so places like that I imagine will return to the office space.
  3. Am I the only one or do photos not seem to capture the impact it has to the area? Looking from my place at post parkside at lake Eola, it feels so much larger and impactful than any photo I take can seem to really capture. all the same, thrilled to have this coming along and hopefully what it will add to the area. thanks to IamFloridaBorn for all the amazing photos as well
  4. Good stuff Brandon. How long did it take us to figure out we are both on here?
  5. View from across the lake. Love the way lake Eola is being boxed In
  6. View from post parkside and for giggles the sunset from the new block party thing they are doing at the round about by world of beer and true cedar or Lebanon
  7. I’m from Tulsa Oklahoma originally and visiting there recently, they have done an incredible job around Tulsa and Greenwood(black Wall Street) in making changes I have a lot of pictures if anyone is interested. But here is one of the streets they renamed that was formally named after a prominent KKK member. I learned all about the history and changes being made and things I never knew about just being in the area. Monuments and murals are all over the place as well as a fantastic museum. They have gone above and beyond just simply remaining the streets.
  8. From what I can tell the site has looked active. I don’t have a keen eye for this sort of thing, but I am cautiously optimistic.
  9. A view from my apartment. Been cool watching it go up... slowly... over the last couple years
  10. Not the best photos as I tried to quickly grab them driving by. But you can see the front part is making considerable progress. Brandon what part of this whole project is your new place ?
  11. Word on the street is that Universal is planning on opening a a couple restaurants, and couple fast casual, and a Starbucks starting the 11th at extreme limited capacity to Include gift shop only and patio only and a couple select small sections of the restaurants. honestly not sure how to feel about this or if it make sense. Who wants to go to city walk out of their way, through parking and strict health and security checks for incredibly limited options. They have done very well by their employees so far through this whole ordeal but I’m questioning this move for many reasons.
  12. I love the Central Park feel as these buildings start boxing in around the lake. Also side note. This is by far the busiest I have seen lake Eola and downtown since this whole thing started. my pool at post parkside was insanely packed
  13. Picture doesn’t do it justice the impact this have driving in this direction cam also start seeing it very well from lake Eola. also to reiterate what everyone else said. What great photos posted above! Where did those come from?
  14. Can see both projects peaking up from the lake
  15. Cool to see this intersection come up!
  16. Also the hotel. Couldn’t find the thread but love seeing these two projects side by side
  17. You can start to see this creep up from Eola looks like they were starting on the 7th floor when I was there. Crews still working furiously
  18. It’s crazy how quick these prefabs go up. Also it was eerie how dead was downtown. I only saw a handful of cars and almost no one actually out
  19. We got word today at universal that we are probably going to be out of work til at least May 8th ..... so as a Tipped employee we are going to be hit the hardest by this. No idea how in the world this is all going to shake out. We are getting changing responses and statements non stop. it seems our parks are going to be closed for at least another month or two. Head is spinning still by all this
  20. Photos from immerse last weekend with the stage set up out front.... love the use of this space and curious what they will do with it moving forward and the completion of the other hall. Original renderings had massive buildings on the two green spaces flanking either side... has there been an update or vision for the use of this space in front moving forward. Especially when they finish construction and open that space back up.
  21. Because photo updates are fun and the roof is just about done!
  22. The rendering is stunning and would make me feel better about losing the current building
