  1. 'Next Cycle' is the Motto of Levine Properties. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  2. From what I understand, demand has outstripped production to the point that the state is allocated only a small number of bottles of Blanton's at a time, and those get somehow allocated to specific ABC stores, and they are gone almost as soon as they hit the shelves (sometimes, they don't even make the shelves). I typically ask the cashier jokingly "do they have any Blanton's today", and they just kind of laugh at me. It does pay off to ask if there is anything "special" they have in the back. I found a bottle of Buffalo Trace recently that they didn't have on the shelves. They only allowed a single bottle if you asked for it. You can always drive to Kentucky also. 4. Good to read this, but there is a lot of spin in that article. With that said, I'll believe it when I see it. Levine has been saying similar things for over 15 years now. Oh, and for comparison, you only need to look one block over to see how a competently run project is done (The Ellis). Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  5. Which block or blocks is this regarding? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  6. Nice progress on this. Started pouring concrete on two of the floors today. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  7. Is this something one can look up online? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk Just found it. Ugh... Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

  9. My office sits above this site and they've definitely been working on it just about daily. This past week they were doing finishing work on the inside surfaces of the "towers". Wouldn't look like much in terms of progress, but I imagine it is important to the overall project. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  10. The rendering also hints that absolutely nothing else will be built between this project and the center of Uptown in the time it takes to complete it. Sent from my 2PS64 using Tapatalk
  11. I'm dissapointed with the status of access to the Sugar Creek Station. The Station and facilities themselves look nice, but you cannot get to them from the Southeast side of the BLE. The newly rerouted #4 Bus (Belmont) will gladly drop you off on the far side of the construction site and you can walk to the pedestrian bridge, but this is not an ideal situation. I've read that the construction at Sugar Creek is scheduled to be completed by September. Any ideas as to whether or not that is on track? Sent from my 2PS64 using Tapatalk
  12. Any news on Fatheads opening in Charlotte. There was an announcement last year about them looking for a location with plans to open in 2018 but I haven't seen anything recently. Sent from my 2PS64 using Tapatalk
  13. In my opinion, this would be a great ending if it goes that way. You still get to upgrade Memorial Stadium and Grady Cole so they can be used, and find a permanent home for our existing team. I think $16MM of tax money to rejuvenate this site is well worth it.
  14. The Rezoning Petition for the site discussed as being tied to Petty Thieves Brewing in Villa Heights went before City Council yesterday.( https://charlottenc.legistar.com/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=3103671&GUID=74FFC020-17E8-4083-AB2D-B1BE875E5820&Options=&Search ) I like the layout of the site improvements that were presented, including integration of some of the recommendations of the bike/pedestrian study, and I think that there will be more of these types of projects along this corridor as neighborhoods like Optimist Park, Villa Heights, and NoDa mature along Parkwood and The Plaza. Anyone with 'inside' knowledge know if this is still planning on being the site for Petty Thieves?
  15. Nice article from the American Airlines in flight magazine (American Way) highlighting the influence of women on Charlotte's growing brewery scene. https://americanwaymagazine.com/these-women-are-reshaping-charlotte’s-craft-beer-scene Sorry - missed this already being mentioned a page back by Grodney
