I lived in the Bennie Dillon for a few years before having to move away from Nashville, and will be moving back to Church Street as soon as I can. Church is a fantastic street to live on. It seemed to me the homeless folks didn't bother people that lived in the neighborhood, and I walked up and down the street a lot.

Popped up in my memories from ten years ago today, taken as I was walking to Crema.

Paywalled, so I dunno what the actual article says, but the headline caught my eye.

Fallyn, Fraye, Gathre.... I'm starting to wonder if maybe the folks behind this building are just illiterate rather than trying to be clever...
I'm reminded of a group I'm a member of on Facebook:
That name is a Tragedeigh.

City Lights is a collaboration between Crema and Bearded Iris Brewing in Germantown. I have to wonder if the name is a nod to Crema's neighbor, City Lights? I picked some up, lovely stuff.

I share them with my family and friends throughout the country. It makes me upset to think that anyone would not appreciate ALL the time and effort you have giving and put into what you have done for everyone.
You definitely just did.

I agree! I know a lot of you think it’s art and maybe it is, if it was in front of the AT&T building or NES headquarters you might get away with it. But it’s just plain ugly!!!
There are verrrrry few of us that don't dislike Stix to the point to not mention dislike of the installation every time it's mentioned.

I hope "Prime" isn't the final name of this building. I understand they want to market it to Amazon employees, but... come on, dude.

That's a lovely, yet intimidating, halfpipe.

I drove by this project with friends the other day. Their jaws hit the floor when I told them it's going to be an Embassy Suites, lol.

Crema celebrated thirteen years this weekend - Nashville was a completely different city back then. I stopped by this morning and Rachel herself was running coffee out to the parking lot. She rules, and so does her cafe.

It will make it look that much taller, but it still does not make up for the beast of a building that we still need in our downtown that needs to be over 750'.
That's an awfully specific number, he-who-knows-something-we-don't-know.

Yeah, this kind of height this far south is hilarious to me, lol. Looking forward to more info and some cranes on this one!
