    Charlotte MLB Team Speculation

Yes, I agree it would be a great spot for a MLB stadium. With talk of MLS coming to Charlotte over the next 5-10 years, my bias is to build a soccer stadium north of downtown as well instead of refurbishing Memorial Stadium.

    American Legion Memorial Stadium Renovation

I would be okay with that. Regardless of the name, excited to see this team play next season -- it would be even better if it was NASL or obviously MLS...

    American Legion Memorial Stadium Renovation

Sorry, but Charlotte Town is silly and I am British -- makes me think of Charlottetown, PEI. I really hope it isn't Charlotte Independence. My choice would be Charlotte Thunder (NASCAR, summer thunderstorms, links to past Carolina Lightnin'). Regardless, great to see soccer kick it into another gear.
  5. Great to see Greenville make the list! From an outdoor perspective, northwestern SC has a lot going for it! http://www.outsideonline.com/adventure-travel/north-america/united-states/Outsides-Best-Towns-2013.html

    Charlotte in 2013

Amen! That would be great! Another option is for Charlotte to get a North American Soccer League team.

Charlotte Knights AAA Ballpark in Third Ward

The renderings look great. I hope it works out for the Knights and they get their Uptown Stadium.

Charlotte Knights AAA Ballpark in Third Ward

Amen! A refurbished Memorial Stadium would be terrific for MLS -- the view of uptown Charlotte would be incredible. My vision would be for the new Major League Lacrosse team and a MLS team to partner together to renovate Memorial Stadium. As another poster stated, the Charlotte Eagles need to drop the Christian schtick. I'm not anti-Christian and the Eagles have done a terrific job over the years, but they are not a real reflection of the potential for pro soccer in Charlotte. GO SOUNDERS!!!

    Greenville Road Warriors

That is great to hear. I was worried that the team would suffer the same fate as the Grrrowl. I am looking forward to seeing some games when I visit family in the Greenville area.
  10. MLS in Charlotte would be terrific especially if they could build a 18,500 seat facility like Sporting Kansas City (see above). All we need is someone with deep pockets to pay the $40-50 million franchise fee and build a stadium. Another option instead of building a new stadium is refurbishing Memorial Stadium (add a roof, skyboxes, etc). With an incredible view of Uptown Charlotte -- it would be a great venue for both soccer and lacrosse in Charlotte as well as high school football and other events throughout the year. Regardless, I am looking forward to MLL Charlotte in the short-term.

    Charlotte-Douglas Airport (CLT) Expansion

I travel through the airport quite frequently -- it may not be the Taj Mahal of airports, but for me it works fine. It definitely isn't the worst airport out there by any means. I can get in and out without too much trouble. At the end of the day that is what counts. To pump a pile of money into revamping the airport would be a total waste of money.

I'm sure Gov. Sanford will be looking forward to that.

    The West End

Are there any Irish pubs or pubs in general in the West End?

    Rock Hill Projects & Developments

Maybe this would be a good location for a minor league ballpark -- easily accessible to both Fort Mill and Rock Hill. I'm not that fond of Knights Stadium. You'd hate to see the facility go to waste or get torn down, but its a rather sterile place to watch a game. A more intimate facility would be better for a Rock Hill team.
