  1. There is absolutely nothing boring about downtown. Visiting Falls Park never gets old. I am there several times a week and it is always bustling with lots of folks, on the streets and in the stores.
  2. Where are all these folks coming from?
  3. Not going to happen. https://www.postandcourier.com/greenville/business/greenville-ends-plan-to-move-city-hall-to-falls-park-focuses-on-public-safety-hq/article_6900e28e-4975-11ec-8a5f-237e3ac0ab21.html?utm_campaign=blox&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

  5. As a former BB&T employee, I can tell you that getting in and out of that parking garage on to the streets was a nightmare. In my humble opinion, having city offices in that location would not have been good for the employees or the citizens of Greenville.

  7. Good article, in the State Newspaper. “$75 million commercial project planned to reinvigorate neglected area of Greenville.” https://www.thestate.com/news/business/article255343071.html

That observation tower is meant to overlook the park, not the entire city of Greenville. It's the perfect height for what will be a near perfect park setting.
  11. Be patient. Everything is on schedule.
  12. Good article. “Greenville sits on a fortune near Unity Park. Proposed development may hint at its future.” https://www.postandcourier.com/greenville/business/greenville-sits-on-a-fortune-near-unity-park-proposed-development-may-hint-at-its-future/article_db189d2c-2868-11ec-87e0-2bb0b379c70e.html
  13. Quite frankly, when you have Henry's Smokehouse bbq, nothing else matters. It was a tough sell to charge twice what Henry's charges for "upscale" bbq.
  14. Seeing these pictures reminds me of how ugly those billboards are going over the Church St. bridge. The city needs to ban all billboards.
  15. “Unity Park’s main pedestrian bridge rising as workers prepare to construct from the air.” https://www.postandcourier.com/greenville/news/unity-parks-main-pedestrian-bridge-rising-as-workers-prepare-to-construct-from-the-air/article_50a0a93c-0dc9-11ec-83b3-1bc0692c7692.html
  16. There is no comparison between the size of Cobb County and it’s tax revenue versus the city of Greenville. Plus, the Braves paid for more than half of the total cost.
  17. "Proposed Greenville conference center could hit $150M if city opts for larger venue." https://www.postandcourier.com/greenville/business/proposed-greenville-conference-center-could-hit-150m-if-city-opts-for-larger-venue/article_2c6b8f48-06d3-11ec-ab64-170432369cc2.html#utm_campaign=blox&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
  18. I looked at this site again today. It does not warrant a tall building. It's a beautiful piece of land, surrounded by trees, and is near the park and the river. The size is perfect. Put the 30 story building somewhere else.
  19. No. P&C has had several articles about this project. It's the G-News that stays a day or two behind on everything.
  20. I like this project. It will fit in well with the landscape of that area. "United Community Bank HQ details roll out as Greenville considers infrastructure funds." https://www.postandcourier.com/greenville/business/united-community-bank-hq-details-roll-out-as-greenville-considers-infrastructure-funds/article_14b84d2e-05d8-11ec-9afe-9f86d61f4b3e.html#utm_campaign=blox&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
  21. It was a much to do about nothing article. There are always a few people that will complain. This project is going forward, and it will be a good one.

Wonderful podcast about the history of music acts at the Brown Box. https://gmhp.podbean.com/e/the-greenville-memorial-auditorium/
  23. $666? Might want to pay an extra dollar, just in case.
  24. Wow. Either some of the people on this forum really dislike Greenville, or they are trying to be funny. Either way, it is getting tiresome.
