  1. So I don't live in Little Rock anymore and was looking for a map of the center on their website. They no longer have one, which I assume is because there is so much empty space and maps make that obvious. Can anyone tell me what holes exist in the center? If this replaces Charming Charlies, that helps. I know Bravo is gone. And the Paul's Shoes,/Just for Dogs corner is a big empty space. Aren't there still several spaces that have never been leased since the place opened, like near DSW. Any guesses on the occupancy rate?
  2. Wasn't the space just north of Lexus supposed to be for future dealers? Like three smaller ones, each with their own showroom and service dept? I always thought Porsche would end up in one of those.
  3. You're right. When I searched yesterday, I found 11:00 but now don't know where that was. 8:20 still doesn't help with an 8 to 5 job.
  4. Unfortunately, the River Rail doesn't start running until close to lunchtime so it's useless for morning commuters.
  5. The two companies actually aren't related anymore. PF Chang is still based in Scottsdale AZ, but Pei Wei was spun off a couple of years ago and is now based in Texas. I didn't know this until a year ago.
  6. I've often wondered - if the department store had taken that space, it would have been somewhat removed from the existing shops. Do you think there were initial plans to connect the existing road to the department store with another row of stores (so that it made a T shape that leads to the department store). It's immaterial now, but just curious about what coudabeen
  7. Dillard's. I don't think Macy's was ever tied to it.
  8. I think when they added HomeGoods, McDonald's and a Nike Outlet, they had changed their original vision. Remember, this center was theoretically for upscale companies like Coach, Banana Republic and Lucky. None of which ever made it.
  9. Let's remember how much success Landry's had with that space.
  10. So I moved from LR a couple of years ago and was wondering how this mall's occupancy rate is? I know H&M took a big chunk of space? Is it pretty much full? I like seeing a mid-city shopping center do well instead of everything heading to the suburbs. But I don't like seeing the Promenade do poorly, either.
  11. Yes, they were one of the original tenants. I had seen that Kenneth Edwards was closing, forgot to mention that. After the holiday season, it may lose another one that hasn't announced anything. We'll see.
  12. The center just never seems to have the momentum to get close to full occupancy. Driving through there the other day for the first time in a while, I saw the following spaces empty or soon-to-be: The Tavern Del Frisco's Charming Charlie's The photo place Paul's Shoes Just Dogs Pei Wei That's a lot of empty space to fill, especially when you add in the completely undeveloped areas.
  13. I thought Pulaski would have hit 400k at the same time. Probably next year.
  14. I guess that eliminates my second suggestion: the old K-Mart across the street if they could also take 10 Fitness.
  15. If the shopping center were razed, would it be roomy enough for a Costco or would they need to take over the center next door, as well? The Village is empty enough that I could see them being open to the idea.
  16. Any word on what their existing building's name will change to? I know that Energy is one of the largest tenants, but they don't want their name on it since they think it won't look good to customers that they "have" a building.
  17. I heard they lost their lease. I assume the owner realized they could get more selling to some chain wanting to open a location. Let the speculation begin...
  18. This shopping center just can't keep up. They just added Athleta and now this relatively big space will open up.
  19. Listed in the building permits in yesterday's paper was one for 6000 W. Markham, Building A. That address is Park Plaza. Do we think it's the mall itself or is "Building A" one of the Dillard's buildings? They could certainly use an update. It was for more than a million dollars.
  20. Plumbing permits show that Athleta, the sports clothing store for women that's owned by The Gap, is locating in the Promenade. It doesn't give a store# though. I don't think there are any closed stores available so it may actually reduce the number of "virgin" spots in the center. That would be a good thing.
  21. Yes, it can, but these are much, much faster. They're meant to be your "fill-up" on a long trip, which is why this one was installed. So owners could travel from Dallas to Memphis.
  22. I know that they seriously looked at the old Sears location, but said it was too expensive (plus, I don't know how that intersection could handle the traffic). I don't think Walmart is keeping them out of here.
  23. The K-Mart on Rodney Parham is on the latest list of Sears/K-Mart closures. I can't believe it's lasted this long. If they were to kick out 10 Fitness, would it be a possible Costco location?
