  1. For those with Instagram accounts, try searching #downtownnorfolk every once in a while. I've seen some pics of the construction on there. I would post them here if it were easier to do it.
  2. This document is a year old, but has even more detailed renderings that fall in line with the ones posted above. Hopefully they haven't changed since then... http://issuu.com/trentmatthias/docs/harbors_edge_-_professional_work_20
  3. Thanks for the pics, Norva. Just a small note, but Hilton has added the hotel to their website. It includes renderings we've already seen, but also a night-time one. http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/virginia/hilton-norfolk-the-main-ORFWAHH/index.html
  4. That's great news. Swarovski stores are fantastic.
  5. What does "connect through" BWI mean? Do you have to deplane and reboard? If so, I don't see what the big deal is. They aren't non-stop flights.
  6. Great shots Caveman, especially the first one. Lots of layers to the picture.
  7. Great last shot there, Tel. The Residence Inn is really coming along.
  8. ^^ Nice shot, URBbum. I love ground-level shots like that.
  9. Awesome news. They should do great at MacArthur.
  10. Will Waterside meet the wrecking ball?
  11. ODU is really making strides at becoming a first class university, it seems. If ODU becomes more acclaimed, Norfolk becomes more acclaimed.
  12. Looks a lot like Harbor Heights, especially with the glass corner.
  13. Well without balconies for the condos, of course. Hopefully we'll get a slight redesign out of it.
  14. Could you link it please if it's not too much trouble? EDIT: nevermind, here it is. thanks for the heads up burt! http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=621968
  15. Wow, a 9-story medical center with parking garage. The least they could have done was to put the garage under the tower instead of wasting all that space!
  16. Announcement coming today on light rail funding
  17. Years ago (I think somewhere around 1999) there was a developer trying to build a hotel (Holiday Inn Express, I think) right next to (or in place of) Waterside, and from what I remember the public hated the idea.
  18. I'm all for expanding Town Point Park, but it does seem like a waste to tear down the marketplace. I'm sure we can find a solution that makes most people happy.
  19. This is the only clue from the article:
  20. Welcome, cosmo. It's great to see lurkers finally signing up and contributing.
  21. What's next? The shops and restaurant will be dropped, leaving us a two-story medical "tower?"
