  1. Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it would be something residential. They are going to have amazing views of the skyline.
  2. This land bounded by Wilkinson, Berryhill, Arty and Monument has been cleared except the church. The yellow outline in the Google maps pic is what has been cleared off. Does anyone know what’s being built here?
  3. The first photo is actually from the summer of 2009. I checked it with Google Earth historical imagery.
  4. Thanks. Found some photos from FB of her with the Moore County sheriff and far right protesters.
  5. Emily Rainey. Tweeted something like “The power is out in Moore County and I know why.”

  7. Now the city needs to extend 36th Street out to Graham. I know it’s planned.
  8. I view UP on a 40 inch LCD TV. I can see all the pics in great detail on the big screen. That's why I always appreciate the pics that you, QCXpat and others post on here.
  9. That one building has signage for Advance Auto Parts. That surprised me. Guessing that's their corporate HQ. I didn't even know they were based in Raleigh. I just found out they relocated from Roanoke, VA to Raleigh back in 2018.
  10. That would be the North Hills skyline in Raleigh.
  11. US inflation peaked at 9.1% in June and is projected downward over the next year. By the end of 2023, it's projected to be around 1.9%. https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/inflation-cpi "Inflation Rate in the United States is expected to be 7.80 percent by the end of this quarter, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. In the long-term, the United States Inflation Rate is projected to trend around 1.90 percent in 2023, according to our econometric models."
  12. The time lapse shows it pulling out onto Tryon and then turing onto Carson. From there they must have took a left on South Blvd. and stayed on South/Caldwell until they got to 420 E. Trade. I think this route was easier since South/Caldwell is wider than College.
  13. Found this security camera time lapse of the diner being moved away. Hope we get a construction camera for this project!
  14. Here's a good overview of the I-77 toll lanes project. Credit: Mileage Mike

  16. Looks like modern day High Point.
  17. I've wondered for years if that land would ever get developed. Great to see it finally happening.
  18. Work is finally starting on this townhome project on Hamilton St. next to Brookshire. https://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2021/04/13/arden-rezoning-petition-charlotte-townhouses.html
  19. I’ve always thought that. I like how one corner is lower than the other.
  20. Dirt is finally moving on this project. Maybe someone can get a pic next time they're in the area? I've been looking forward to this site being developed. There's so much going on in Charlotte it's hard to keep up with the developments.
  21. Zoom into the top of DEP and you’ll notice signage is being installed. Can’t wait to see it finished.
