    Their rabbit stew is phenomenal.

Is this the one where the real estate agents are already pitching it as a short-term rental development? Not a smart way to build community support before you request a zoning change.

Some more quick smartphone pix of the 5th and Broad project. From the corner of 5th and Broadway: Looking down the future "avenue" in the middle; view from the Ryman: View from the corner of 5th and Commerce:

That makes a lot more sense.

There's a gentleman on the Downtown Nashville Facebook claiming to be part of a team designing a small-format Target for the gulch. Claims to be seeking resident input. Downtown Nashville on Facebook

Learn what, exactly? That you need to agree with every crappy proposal from a developer or you might get a worse project?

Agreed, but good luck getting that idea past the Edgefield Junta.

@bwithers1 I'd love to know what is going on with that site as well. I'd heard it was for sale again, but have also noticed the recent work. My guess was that Clay is doing some work to make it easier to sell.

Point taken, but I doubt it. The construction quality, or relative lack of, of so much of the new crap practically guarantees their fairly quick passing into time.

Between Fluffo and the Wabash up the hill, my bud Dan Heller has done a lot to improve that stretch of East Nashville.

Thanks for the number crunching. Do the DOL numbers capture the non-metro and micro portions of the state (the rural remainder)? You might find this site by MTSU that my office sponsors interesting. It includes county level data for jobs as well as a lot of other indicators for MSA, micros, and counties. I'm always tempted to throw the cones in the yards or gutter when I see them.

A whole bunch of 10-20 story towers will do a lot more for density than a handful of 40+ ones.

These permits should only be allowed where there are no driveways or alley parking access. Despite what every curmudgeon thinks, they don't own the street in front of their house.
