  1. Good morning guys, correct me if I am wrong but I swore I saw an article about Disney having exclusive plays held in Orlando. Such as the Lion King is based in NYC.
  2. Ahh, I got my hopes up. @Universe_Explore yes that would be awesome if they could build a block or so by the rail stations for a more urban feel.
  3. If I read it correctly: The midrise community will feature studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans as well as two-story brownstone-style townhouses. It seems it may be an addition?
  4. I wonder if the "brownstones" mentioned are like the ones on Michigan. I would love to see it on both sides of the road! It would also appeal to the urban community. https://www.google.com/maps/preview#!data=!1m8!1m3!1d3!2d-81.369068!3d28.51309!2m2!1f77.67!2f70.84!4f75!2m7!1e1!2m2!1s4tYl5OjSLxjW-bugHovYBQ!2e0!5m2!1s4tYl5OjSLxjW-bugHovYBQ!2e0&fid=5
  5. Anyone going to see the tower of light being lit up at 6:00pm tonight. Would be great to get some shots
  6. The Gardens at Millenia Revived Check inside for some original renderings
  7. Just came across this awesome video I would like to share. It is great for those who are an IT professional such as myself. http://www.rockethub.com/projects/33578-orlando-rising
  8. With the approval of the stadium and the proximity, do you think the Magic will put their plans on a bigger scale? Here is some renderings: http://www.wftv.com/gallery/news/local/photos-orlando-sports-and-entertainment-district-r/g9D7/#3334831
  9. I completely agree with you about people returning. I wouldn't say that nothing has come from the Amway Center, we are seeing a modest revamp of church street. Not what we urban lovers would like but I would take it. Also, do not forget about the Magic Complex that is in the working. The DPAC I think we would need to see it up and running to see some effects. IMO I think the ALOFT hotel is there because of the DPAC.
  10. OFFICIAL: MLS COMING TO ORLANDO Well guys this is a major project coming online for 2015. While we have 2 main projects for 2014 we have things to look forward to, for a couple of years. I know I've been absent from the community on/off (mostly school work, however, what type of development do you think will spur from the stadium. I am thinking bars, restaurants, and hotels. I believe this will solidify the need for hotels in downtown. What do you guys think?
  11. I can see one way it can work here... The ORANGE is the SunRail and the BLUE I am pretty sure that is a freight line. They can branch off the freight line into the airport or retrofit the existing line and lay new tracks directly into the airport.
  12. Here is a picture of an earlier post, the location where it will be built. Just to get some perspective.
  13. New Apartment Development Spurs From SunRail
  14. That's great news! I think they said something will be announced at the MLS All Star game in Kansas City if I'm not mistaken.
  15. Orlando Central Station Update (Rida Development)
  16. Yes Orlando City Park does have a ring to it. I also like Orlando City Stadium. This is awesome news, I saw on the MLS they have a ton of attention on Orlando entering the league. Let's hope it means something!
  17. Did anyone notice on the last page from Lutheran Towers a request to build a 9 story 300 unit residential building? Here is the site:
  18. I was looking at that today. I wonder if they have the updated renderings to it.
  19. Nice, thanks for that. I will try and grab some photos to upload for you guys.
  20. I think over the past few years, yes Orlando has become dubbed a medical city with all of the recent projects (i.e Lake Nona, formation of Orlando Health, and the tremendous development of Florida Hospital). I believe the word hasn't hit the nation yet (the general population), that Orlando is becoming a strong player in the medical field. Once everyone is able to see past Mickey Mouse, we should be able to make our mark. Also, let's not forget about us becoming a technology hub either =).
  21. I haven't heard much buzz about anything going on at I-Drive Live for a while now. I passed along Universal Blvd the other day and saw some major construction. Is this the site of the development. I was never to clear on where EXACTLY it would be.
  22. You guys really know how to find these documents. I tried my luck on looking and wasn't successful. Glad you guys share the awesome finds!
  23. In this picture. the building almost looks like a rendering. Awesome pic nonetheless
  24. I would of loved this when I was attending UCF. Driving from Southwest Orlando to UCF 3 times a week definitely gets old. However, do you think there is land for them to build the tracks or are you thinking the run the line right down the middle of the road?
