  1. Breaking news: DMC names its pick for 100 N. Main project. Here's a look at what's planned https://www.commercialappeal.com/story/money/business/development/2022/01/19/downtown-memphis-development-100-north-main-project/9044758002/
  2. I try to find at least one or two positive attributes about the design of a building, but this one is just...terrible.

These are exciting times to be a Grizzlies fan! I don't think I've followed the team this closely since the 2012-2013 season when we made it all the way to the WCF.
  4. It's just surprising since Cook-Out has a location in Midtown and Taco Bell has a location on 2nd. Just seems like it would be a cool place for them to have a flagship location. Obviously a drive-thru would be next to impossible.
  5. Not a single location in Nashville proper — or even within a reasonable driving distance (for fast food, at least). Ugh.
  6. The two are both great in their own ways. Whataburger's menu is a lot more diverse and expansive. I may give In-N-Out's standard burger a slight edge over Whataburger's. As disappointed as I am that all of the Whataburger locations will be out in the 'burbs (for the foreseeable future, at least), it's best for my waistline.
  7. Drone shot from November, taken from above Craighead and Nolensville Pike.
  8. Wow that looks really nice. And great placement across the street from Wiseacre!
  9. At this point, I'd just be happy to see them do anything to improve Mud Island. I'm afraid something on the scale of Tivoli is just unrealistic (as amazing as it would be).
  10. Interesting architecture for East Memphis. I like it! Local developers plan to build four-story brownstones in East Memphis https://www.bizjournals.com/memphis/news/2021/12/21/developers-brownstones-east-memphis-alladin.html
  11. That's good that a full-service restaurant with river views is returning. Anyone remember Landry's? (or Joe's Crab Shack in the building's later years)
  12. I wonder if the Mud Island tram will ever return. It was such a cool, unique way to get across the harbor. I also hope the ferris wheel is a bit larger. But otherwise, this looks really cool.
  13. I'm interested to see how this plays out, but it seems (at least for now), Memphis-based Terminix to be acquired by British co. Rentokil Initial in $6.7B deal https://www.bizjournals.com/memphis/news/2021/12/14/terminix-to-merge-rentokil-billion-dollar-deal.html
  14. More adaptive reuse in Memphis! Memphis investors plan $29M redevelopment of old Greyhound Bus building in Uptown https://www.bizjournals.com/memphis/news/2021/12/09/greyhound-building-uptown-november-6-developers.html
  15. I think a Top Golf would look hideous there (with the massive poles and netting). I think it would make more sense somewhere farther north or south.
  16. As someone who is very cold-natured, a warm December day is like an early Christmas gift.
  17. A lot of them aren't loading - would it be possible to upload them somewhere else (imgur maybe)? The ones that loaded look awesome!
  18. Downtown seen from a recent drone flight:
  19. FYI: (I'm assuming this is still accurate.)
  20. I believe land clearing has started, but I need to head down there to confirm.
