  1. Renderings for the new pedestrian bridge connecting South End to Uptown. Article below: https://charlottenc.gov/Projects/Pages/RailTrailBridge.aspx?NotFoundURL=https%3A%2F%2Fcharlottenc.gov%2FRailTrailBridge&Referrer=
  2. Facebook comments are always fun to sort through on there - did you see their post on the "Queens Park" and the comments? Anyway, I agree that Brookhill would be a great location for the new Panthers stadium as well. Then in the future, they could demolish the BOA stadium and put in an MLB stadium. SUPER wishful thinking!
  3. I'd love this. I also always thought the Southside Park spot would be a great spot for a MLB stadium overlooking the skyline!
  4. How long do we think it'll be until Balfour Beatty Construction moves out of the Design Center? I feel like that is prominent retail space for larger retailers like H&M, Zara, or even a Tj Maxx. I'm not sure how large the space is to be honest as I've never been inside. But from the outside, I assume it's a large space.
  5. I wish Charlotte would get a better "Eye on Tryon" Ferris wheel. It's probably a lot to ask to have something similar to London's Eye, and I know the expense and debt that caused them in the beginning. I'm not sure how I'd feel about a permanent wheel in general. What're everyone's thoughts? I do wish there was an observation deck of some sort - however, that would require a large skyscraper like BOA!
  6. https://www.cityfeet.com/cont/listing/office-space-for-lease/10-tryon-st-charlotte-nc-28202/cs4346484 10 Tryon is on Cityfeet.com's page with spaces for lease so I think this project is definitely still going to happen. Floors 2-5 are already leased it seems like (unless that's parking).
  7. Art's BBQ will close after 43 years according to Charlotte Observer - “We will raze the existing buildings and will beautify the space as we think about the best use for the properties,” (Existing buildings include Art's BBQ and the H&R Block Building next door). 8. Does anyone know if the corner retail space has been leased to the left of Madewell? If it was two stories, it could be a great spot for a much needed Zara!
  9. On top of that - the link below is the architect of the project. Their portfolio does not disappoint. I am so stoked to see the renderings for the new library! https://snohetta.com/projects
  10. UGH. That building has got to go. Thanks for the update!
  11. Do we know if the Groundcrew Sound building would be demolished? Based off of renderings, it looks like there's still room for it to remain behind the building. Would be nice to see this tower connect to the Ashton South End Apartments parking deck!
  12. This is great! Thank you for the update pic!
  13. Does anyone have an updated picture on the progress of this building? Super stoked for when the steel starts to rise!
