  1. Wealthy Street Needed Renovations

Activity on Wealthy and Fuller across form Little Caesars. That corner has been empty for way too long.
  2. Amazon looking for a city to put HQ2

I think that's the real play here. Make a splash going for the big prize and probably land at least a smaller one. Makes sense.
  3. Wealthy Street Needed Renovations

    1059 Wealthy coming along.
  4. 20 Fulton E, Mixed Use Development

Got this shot today. Really changes the feel of that intersection I think.
  5. 1513 East Fulton - Church to Mixed Use

Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got till it's gone....
  6. MSU Biomedical Research Campus

Got these shots while down at City Hall the other day.
  7. New projects on the West Side

This sounds cool. New housing along the Laker Line. Anybody know more about it? http://www.mlive.com/walker/index.ssf/2016/02/proposed_standale_housing_deve.html
  8. Looks like new estimates for 2011 population. Nice that the city is growing again. http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/26/2634000.html
  9. Martha's Vineyard

That building was crap. Everything can't be saved. Glad it's gone.
  10. The State of Downtown Grand Rapids Retail

Great news for DT retail. We might just get a department store and grocery store downtown if this pans out. And if the movie theater goes forward, I think we'll be golden. Next wave of DT development, here we go. Story at mlive.
  11. John Ball Zoo

JBZ may not make the list of coolest zoos in America, but they have one of the coolest zoo schools. http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2012/08/grand_rapids_zoo_school_one_of.html
  12. John Ball Zoo

Check this out. Can't wait to see the view! story is at woodtv
  13. Grand Rapids Then and Now

There is really old school rendering of Grand Rapids at the Library of Congress American Memory site. The drawing of Grand Rapids is from 1868. You can zoom in really close and see Park Congregational Church and St. Mark's church. I'm pretty sure there are remnants of Prospect Hill at Pearl and Ottawa. Here's a link. I can't figure out how to put the image up on here. It's better at the LOC site anyway because you can move around the image and zoom in and out. I think you'll enjoy it as much as I do.
  14. Health Hill/Medical Mile Developments

What about the southeast corner of Lafayette and Michigan. It's just an old gas station with a 1 story Spectrum building next to it. I think a church owns the house behind it. Could be.
