  1. It kind of reminds me of the City Modern Brush Park development in Detroit a little bit. I like it.
  2. And not only that!! https://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/2019/01/airline-to-make-grand-rapids-airport-one-of-its-us-bases.html
  3. This project on Eastern and Logan is moving along fast. This is the first new development in Baxter in a very very long time.
  4. I grew up in Baxter and live there now. I love the stuff going on on Wealthy St but of course it has the potential trial to displace residence because of rising housing costs. Luckily I’m in no danger of being priced out, but many longtime residents are I like this development just off the main Wealthy Street corridor. ICCF is doing some incredible work around the city imo. http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2018/11/affordable_housing_project_com.html
  5. Voted for number 1. I do wish that one had the icons for the different activities available at each park though. But even so, I thought number one was the strongest, classiest, and most aesthetically pleasing choice.
  6. Making some progress on the new restaurant on Wealthy and Fuller.
  7. The Embassy Suites appears bigger than I expected.
  8. From the Fishladder. Can’t believe the transformation of this cityscape.
  9. Hardware, office supply, and pet store. Would be great to not have to go to Michigan or 28th St for that stuff.
  10. Thanks for this. I love to see development. And I love to see the community addressing concerns of those negatively affected by it. It’s the right thing to do economically and socially.
  11. Interesting take on how the housing shortage is affecting GRPS programs. Not the flashiest project, but I think it’s a good neighborhood development. https://www.woodtv.com/news/grand-rapids/new-apartments-could-help-end-housing-crisis-in-gr/1422251744
  12. Not a lot of activity there n the past few days.
