  1. Aha, good point on that. I could look at for hours, too bad you can't zoom in to get better resolution. I would love to go street by street to see what the building were like.
  2. Wow, look at the west side, where the Ford museum and GVSU is now. Looks all industrial…then look two blocks west further from the river. Is that just open space?
  3. Do I remember that BP gas station on the same block of the Bridge Street market will get replaced?
  4. Who owns that space? Now that the old stuff is coming down, are there any plans for a new building?
  5. Who wants to start a "Go Fund Me" campaign to buyout the awful Family Dollar store next door? May not be practical but just dreaming. Or at least they could invest in cleaning it up to make it not be such an eyesore. I understand some people in the neighborhood depend on it but…

  10. That is nice...hope they dress up their windows too. Take the awful gates from inside the windows...looks like an inner city liquor store.
  11. How long has the PO been there? 30-40 years? Seems like from a facility stand point it's aging and they are landlocked. If they wanted/needed to do any major upgrades in the next 10+ years...seems like it would be a major effort in the current location. Not much they can do to the current location, besides there is zero architectural value to it.
  12. ^^^ very valid points GRDAD. The slight evolution that has happened so far on Michigan St. is more of a lipstick on pig solution. With all of the other trendy areas in the Grand Rapids area, is there enough to sustain this area...at this point in time? It may be baby steps for this area...it may have to wait for the next boom. But that is no excuse for crappy building. What was that one quote I heard somewhere on here..."Building tomorrow's ghetto today"??
  13. I stopped into Zeytin today. They said they will remain in their current place until next June. She also said they will be in a new on the river...which is supposed to start build in the next few weeks
  14. Because if those walls were patient, the project would be complete.
  15. Any mention of what the little triangle will be? The one that have the contract trailers on it now?
