  1. Civility exists in GR https://www.wzzm13.com/mobile/article/news/local/grand-rapids-central/ann-curry-gr-airport-tweet/69-e5881712-7f89-4789-82b4-c33b37aa33c9?fbclid=IwAR1P50GExekc9xzoM1oEEMgPgjXQBW6YYTvYW63_9RySIDj2jRl_Bo3sodU?fbclid=IwAR1P50GExekc9xzoM1oEEMgPgjXQBW6YYTvYW63_9RySIDj2jRl_Bo3sodU
  2. The Fed is definitely a gross building. I’ve hated it for 40 years.
  3. Those vans are from independent companies contracted to do deliveries for Amazon. There are several of them around town. I think the one in Walker is the largest.
  4. Nashville has one pretty close to a highway. I wonder if they have sound issues.
  5. I noticed at least 2 small “Studio Park” signs on the parking garage today, but didn’t get a chance to take a picture.
  6. Big news: https://www.woodtv.com/news/grand-rapids/business-to-bring-400-jobs-to-downtown-grs-studio-park/
  7. Well they’re here. Don’t really understand the need when we have the Dash buses. I guess it’s just another step in our need to be considered “hip”. https://www.woodtv.com/news/grand-rapids/autonomous-vans-hit-grand-rapids-streets/
  8. So if it’s not your thing, get rid of it.
  9. The Whitecaps moving downtown is not as simple as getting a new ballpark. The owners are not likely to do that since they own the stadium and the parking lot. This was brought up a few years ago when John Wheeler floated the idea of putting a stadium when the theater is now being built.
  10. I don’t know if this has been discussed, but expect these downtown very soon. I noticed on indeed that they are now hiring for a Site Supervisor. https://www.crainsdetroit.com/mobility/may-mobility-expand-self-driving-shuttles-grand-rapids
  11. Even those are being taken over by the drunks. The Bob? Really? B-dubs? There are far more of the hipster/foodie joints now which is fine, they make money. But when the affordable places get run out like Ritz Coney and Friday’s I don’t get all happy about it.
  12. Yeah, because we can’t have a restaurant downtown that serves normal food and decent prices for families.
  13. I’m glad they didn’t cover it up. Looks cool.
