Ray Dayal is eyeing a La Quinta Inn & Suites at 303 Interstate Drive, to sit on 1/2 acre plot just to the south of his Quality Inn near Nissan Stadium. No word yet on how many rooms, or if a restaurant might be part of the plans. He hopes to go before the Metro Board of Zoning Appeals on June 7 for special exemptions on height. Dayal hopes to begin construction in the fall. A 15- to 18-month construction timeline is expected. Tara Investments, headed up by one of the Patel families out of Charlotte, NC, is under contract to buy the .8 acre site of Yazoo Brewing Company in The Gulch at 910 Division St. This will be their first project in Nashville, and they are eying the Canopy by Hilton brand for this property. No amount of rooms, height, renderings, or timeline available at this juncture. That site is zoned for downtown in the code, which allows developers the greatest flexibility and latitude when designing their projects. More will be posted as it is made available.
