A 428 room Marriott brand hotel is being planned for 125 7th Ave. North, on the .78 acre surface lot to the north of Hume Fogg High School. The lot is about the same footprint as the Embassy Suites Hotel at 7th Ave. South and Demonbreun, so an estimate of 25 stories seems about right. A 400 seat, 16,000 sq. ft. restaurant is planned, as well as internal parking garage. Alamo Manhattan is the developer. Civil Design Group is in charge of engineering according to a water permit request. No renderings yet. The Carell family has owned the lot for decades, and there is no word yet on the sale price of the land, but the land was recently appraised at $11.77 million.
