Did ya'll know back in 1980s this was going to be the site a huge office, retail, and hotel complex? Too bad that didn't happen. Though 1980s urban design principals were horrific, so maybe we should be happy that didn't happen.

I used to live near this corner cvs in Baltimore City and could alway picture something like that replacing what we currently have in pm. I’d definitely incorporate some of the brickwork from the buildings near the back of site, into my new corner development $$

Be easy on me, my drawing skills are not tu gud. Plus I did it on my phone. 

I didn't know dick about urban planning back in 2007 when I drew this, but I still like it.

And then legalize weed (no blue font needed lol).  I visited that park a few months ago and could not believe how many people were just hanging out (with no music or concert).  Great backdrop of SF and everyone looked like they were having a lot of fun...and the munchies.  A park in PM will be cool though.

What is this, Coaltrane’s? The only other option I can think of is Midwood and that entire building was just sold.

Anybody remember going to the "The Steeple." I think it was called. Man Plaza Midwood used to have the best Alternative places. For those that don't know, The Peculier Rabbit was an old church turned into a Goth-y bar. Definitely doesn't look like that anymore.

Too many conformists to support a goth-y bar in plaza midwood today...

As I came down Independence today I saw the old church building at the end of Shenandoah (in Chantilly) is finally coming down. Are the townhomes moving ahead? I feel like the last I heard about this were some stream buffer issues and a request for a variance on the units the developer could build.

I guess because it can only hold 2 or 3 tenants as-is? But it is sub a prime spot. And the Excelsor Clib was just listed for $1.5million.

Sounds like it.   Too bad he won't sell the whole building.   I would also assume that PR and Jack's share a kitchen?   If so, I wonder how that would work out?   The whole place needs to be cleaned up.
