Nichols Co is proposing replacing Todd's Flowers with an office building, which I believe will be pushed close to the street with parking in the rear.  Unclear, if they plan on including their former office building in the development (the grey 2 story house at the corner of Central and Hawthorne)

 

Atlrvr, will there be decent height to it?  Or, the normal 2-5 stories for PM?

I'm really not sure.  I believe based on land cost, and scale of the site, we would get something like 214 W Tremont.

Something of this scale would be more than appropriate for that corner. I would love to see more infil office projects in the neighborhood to diversify the development that we are getting.

Pricing for the townhomes over by Elizabeth Square (can't remember the name) has finally been announced. They'll start in the $360's.

 

That's a lot of money to be surrounded by train tracks and a major highway.

^^ Midwood Square by Pulte.  They aren't as suburban in design as I feared.

Leave it to urbanites to be the new NIMBYs. Complaining about dense infill in the older streetcar-suburbs is as foolish as the outlying suburbanites complaining about their loss of green space and increased traffic. No one has a monopoly on their lifestyle, especially when it's highly desirable.

I wouldn't, I'd be very unhappy. I wouldn't beotch about it though because that's life in a growing city. I'd throw up some privacy trees for sure though.

It appears work on the patio in front of Bistro La Bon and Healthy Home Market is imminent.  Drove by this morning and the patio area is cordoned off and there is a backhoe inside the area.

Constructions of what looks like pre work for the patio has indeed begun. There are several 2-3 foot wide and 20-30 ft long ditches dug in the area of where the patio outline would be.

It looks more extensive than the rendering previously presented... like perhaps a dining area in front of HHM in addition to all the other storefronts.

Just found out that Visart is moving to the shopping center at the corner of Eastway and Central. MIght be a little more important to the Elizabeth thread.........
