Allan 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 Wolverine, It is the Cary Building, which is currently being converted into four 3200 square foot lofts. The building was designed for Frank M. Cary, a speculator in Detroit real estate, and designed by Richard E. Raseman, who also designed the building directly across Broadway (then named Miami Avenue, but later renamed Broadway because of its prominence as a fashionable woman's shopping district). Zissou 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2005 What about the 3 buildings next to it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was thinking the same thing. A developer could turn these four building into a miniature Merchants Row. I would also like to see the surface parking lot behind these building developed.
