Intro to Nashville

mile five

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about relocating to Nashville soon, and am taking a weekend trip out at the end of the month to check things out. What should I see and what are some cool neighborhoods to check out?

I've never been to Nashville, but have heard some really cool things about it and want to visit to see if I could move there.

Thanks for any and all help.

This place can't be summed up too easily. It's different things to different people, and that's the beauty of it. Whether you're in a Japanese rock band, a Siberian guitar club, an southern Bubba with a penchant for Pabst, an afficianado of great food and wine, a skateboarder who loves the parks and urban streets, an aspiring opera, rock, country, pop, jazz, alternative, punk, techno singer, player or listener, there's a place for you. You can hike the most pristine trails, camp beautiful lakes, take in an urban stroll where the diversity of this city becomes evident. You can be cool, you can be a dork, you can be gay, straight or have a thing for sheep, and people will generally accept you and support you (unless it's their sheep). Music knows no bounds here, one just has to be aware and participate.

Here's a few websites to get you started. Many people are sadly failing to feel the magic I personally find in this city. Here's hoping you make a positive discovery. Open your eyes, look beyond the obvious and look under the skin of what makes this town very unique indeed.

The random links.
