Agreed. Orlando is a great looking city and the downtown is impeccably maintained. I only wish we were more dense and had taller buildings.

I found some pics on an old memory card from 2007-08. No rhyme or reason for these, just a stroll down memory lane.

The Black Box Collective in Parramore was located on W Central Blvd and the buildings were eventually demolished to make way for future redevelopment which later turned out to be the Orlando City soccer stadium. It was the original "West Art District" of it's time, albeit a bit more rough around the edges. The venue would also host live performances... the bands tended to have a bit more of an underground vibe but would draw quite a few people. The first 2 pics explain what the venue was about and show the original location.

 

Random shots around town (2008)

 

I4 Piers at Lake Ivanhoe (2008). In the right light, the piers were reminiscent of ancient ruins. While I was taking pics, a family of ducks stopped by to visit (i.e. escape being run over by the wild boat driver on the lake).

The light color is sort of a pale gray and the dark is sort of hunter green.

No, I downvoted the crappy choice of paint colors on the building he posted a picture of.
