Never heard of that one. When was the proposal made? Seems like now is a better time than ever to get a start on construction in that part of downtown, given it's proximity to the Convention Center district.

Another interesting point is, based on the addres (529 S. Harrington) this is in the very shadow of Raleigh's current Amtrak station. Or, more appropriately, the Amtrak station would be in this building's shadow. Maybe this qualifys as transit-oriented development? although that designation would 'expire' if the multi-modal station at West and Hargett gets built.

I do believe that this project is on hold until the TTA station is built....but I'm not sure.
