Looks like the old Seaboard train station will be saved.

""The Seaboard Station building, which now houses Logan’s Garden Shop, was sold to Turnbridge Equities of New York in December for $8.5 million. Turnbridge initially planned to demolish the station, which is cherished by many but is not an official landmark building. But Turnbridge continued to tinker with plans after public pushback. Jason Davis, the managing director of the project for Turnbridge Equities, said Wednesday the current plan is to move the station to the north part of the property to make way for a pair of towers. The new renderings for the project on the Seaboard Station site show a pair of towers. Phase 1 of the plan would be a 16-story building roughly where the station is currently located. Phase 2 would include a 20-story tower. The two towers would be wrapped by development and thus cover a large parking deck from public view. ""

I wonder if that parking deck will be the front and center view for much of the Cotton Mill condo owners. A pedestrian bridge for them is way overdue to Seaboard.

When I used to live there about a decade ago, there was a locked gate in the wood fence along the Cotton Mill property bordering the railroad.  Owners could access Seaboard via that gate with their keys and then walk across the tracks.
