This is very good news. By the time this is built, everything should be back to normal.

BizSense just posted their own article on the Henrico sports complex at VCC. It's part of a HUGE multi phase redevelopment of the whole mall site. And thus it comes with this unreal image of what VCC site may look like one day.

WOW!!! That's fantastic!! Hope this all comes to pass. I lived a few miles south of VCC for about five years (more than 20 years ago) -- I love the way this looks!

Wanted to share this construction update of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ Temple being built at the corner of Staples Mill Rd and Mountain Rd in Henrico.  This photo is especially cool because not only do you get a birds-eye view of the construction of the Temple itself (which will be absolutely beautiful when complete), but if you look at the horizon in the middle of the photo, you can see downtown Richmond!  Very cool photo indeed!!  Enjoy!

Great photo! How did we ever take pictures before drone technology?

Costar is reporting that Amazon will be building what sounds like a massive, 2.9M SF multi-story warehouse fulfillment center at RIR.

Where is CoStar reporting this?  I did a quick search, but found nothing.  Perhaps I’m looking in the wrong place?

Here is the primary source:

“- RIR–located in Richmond, Va. is an 823,522-sq.-ft. facility with total warehouse space of 2.9 million sq. ft. The facility is currently estimated to cost $295.6 million to build, and construction is anticipated to take 19 months, with a lease start date based on the earlier of Sept. 1, 2022, or upon the completion of the facility. The term of the lease will be for 20 years...”

An excellent audio piece of Henrico Happenings that talks about the details of this development (specifically the indoor sports complex).  Give this 15 minute piece a listen and learn just about everything pertaining to this development thus far.  It's really good.  Henrico is a county with a vision.  Love it!

I wish they were building  next to RIC instead of RIR and turn it into a  small hub
