Other states ready to challenge Florida in new frontier

Tourists often come to Florida for the beaches, hotels or cruise ships, but several unusual hospitality firms are considering the state's ability to attract a new type of visitor - the space tourist.

This isn't George Jetson rocketing around in a bubble ship. The real space craft are a few years from completion and Florida is among at least 10 states vying to attract the astronaut hopefuls. A study by Futron/Zogby - after surveying more than 450 millionaires in 2003 - forecast it as a $1 billion annual business, with more than 15,000 passengers by 2021...
