Thank you for sharing this!

Found the bill - assuming it became law.  Of little comfort, but there are provisions for compensation to the state for cutting down OUR trees.

https://www.ncleg.net/EnactedLegislation/SessionLaws/PDF/2011-2012/SL2011-397.pdf

(d) If the application for vegetation cutting, thinning, pruning, or removal is for a site located within the corporate limits of a municipality, the municipality shall be given 30 days to review and provide comments on the application if the municipality has previously advised the Department in writing of the desire to review such applications and the name of the local official to whom notice of such application should be directed."  Wonder if our arborist does this review, and did it in this case?

Sadly, if you look closely, it appears Meck County is the customer to this billboard company.

It's an ad for some food security initiative.

This land bounded by Wilkinson, Berryhill, Arty and Monument has been cleared except the church. The yellow outline in the Google maps pic is what has been cleared off. Does anyone know what’s being built here?

Owned by Madison Capital Group out of Miami looks like a land developer who works with apartment developers or buys land to hold then sell to developers.  Bought in 2021 probably clearing it to make it more marketable but I thought I remember apartments in this area but might be across the street.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it would be something residential. They are going to have amazing views of the skyline.
