Commuting to Work

South Park to Uptown and back for me, but looking to move Uptown as both myself and my wife work two blocks apart along Tryon.

I live a stone's throw from Park Road Shopping Center. Some call it "lesser Myers Park", I call it the St Ann's "Our Lady of the Basement" Catholic area. Work uptown.

Work downtown, live in Dilworth. Usuaully drive (I know I know, but I'm selling my car now if anyone is interested), I sometimes ride the trolley to work, and sometimes walk. I'm going to start the Gold Rush thing, and possibly bike.

I live in Dilworth and walk to work in Dilworth. The closeset catagory for me was "work downtown and walk/trolley".

Live in Dilworth. When I am not dogwalking, have a carpet commute to my desk in the front of the apt. Unless I am lazy and drag the laptop on the bed. I do walk for lunch down East though.

None of the options really fit for me. I live downtown and work in Midtown. I drive, but I suppose I could ride the Gold Rush (Does it go to Midtown?). I always wake up way to late to depend on transit, though. My own fault, but I just can't get myself out of bed until the last possible minute. So, a 5-minute drive works better for me. There isn't much to walk to in the Midtown area (yet) for lunch, so having a car is pretty necessary if I want to eat outside the office (I'll do anything to get away for an hour).

I drove until gas crossed $2.50/gal last year. Been taking the bus since. Next year.... light rail!
