I've been hearing Bahama Breeze is looking in the area, but don't know that for fact. Brixx is suppose to open in the village area at Greenridge.

Excellent! Doc Chey's is great!! A little more casual and better for lunch (lite), than P.F.Changs. Any idea when it will open?

It shouldn't be long before the new Cracker Barrel is open.

Work is coming along on the Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, and Drury Inn as well.

It doesn't appear that a lot of work is going on on the Whole Foods Market (at least from the outside) though.

They have started grading for the Garden Inn as well, or what ever the name of the hotel that Windsor Aughtry is doing out there.

Driving by The Point today, the crane is up for the Drury. This is going to be something like 9 floors right? I must say, the crane is higher than expected...makes a statement as this is a rather flat area of town.

I noticed that yesterday, and reported on it in the New Greenville Developments thread. It looks great traveling along I-85 in both directions.

That's going to be a long four lane paralleling 85.....The Point road to Millenium Blvd through ICAR to Forest Fair over to Mauldin Road. From everything announced lately along I-85, it looks as though the perspective when driving down I-85 will be VERY different in a few years!

Went to the Point yesterday mostly to check out Circuit City....I wasn't too impressed. I like the one over at Woods Crossing a LOT more. I think the overall store inside and out looks better, really.

That tower crane really looks impressive as you're driving behind Greenridge along I-385 and looking down I-85 from the overpass. It is a nice height.

Awesome! That'll be great. Do you know about the other hotel? a Hilton Garden or whatever... like how tall is will be? This really will be impressive. Think about it. The Point to Verdae to ICAR/Millienium Campus to the Global Trade Park, then there is Hitachi... It'll be a nice stretch of stuff for sure! I really wish that that rumor was true about St Francis. I'd love for a six or seven story or taller hospital building to grace what will soon be Greenville's interstate 85 skyline.

Can you imagine more traffic on Woodruff Rd? That is pretty much guaranteed to happen with this road to ICAR.

The Drury Inn and Suites website says it will indeed be 7 stories and 180 rooms. The Hilton Garden Inn will likely be a mid-rise as well, considering the one in Anderson which was recently completed. Interesting to note that Homewood Suites is also a Hilton hotel chain.

I would think that Hilton would be interested in having a presence downtown in some form also, especially since they tend to locate downtown in cities (and probably would've done that in Greenville had our downtown not been suffering so much when they entered the Greenville market).

I agree. I think it'd be cool to have a Hilton-Downtown Greenville and a Hilton-Midtown Greenville (as the area has often been referred as).

I know right? I think it's pretty cool. I believe the Villagio Verde Website claims that its location will be in "Midtown"...
