Alot of buildings in hte core that arent going anywhere, not for a while i imagine. Hopefully, we can utilize the ridge that DT and Monroe currently saddle. I think the potential is there.

another neat thing i noticed the otehr day... heading into town from the east on pensicola, before appleyard on the bridge over the rr trax, out the passanger side window you can see skylinage over the trees. Four buildings, cap, turl, highpoint, Dtree. twas neat.

When were you on a train... and heading INTO town from the East on Pensacola before Appleyard... I'm confused. Thats going away from town from the east. How can you see the downtown from that far?

I think you're right about those buildings in the core not going anywhere soon, but there is alot of potential along Monroe as you've said, on the same side of the street as the Tennyson... there are buildings near "Hair on Earth" that are vacated and could make nice spots for new highrise development.

Driving a car on pensicola heading east, from the west, into town... on the bridge that goes over the rr before appleyard. The bridge is in the tree tops... and it was wierd that i had never looked over that side, but its logical once your out there. You can see the buildings stickking up outta of the cities practically officail color...green. its neat.

In terms of meeting the service needs of those who will live and work around the plaza... League of Cities, City Hall, Capitol, Courts...

I think something like a dry cleaner, walgreens or drug store would be a good fit... also I should add a borders or barnes wouldn't be a bad idea.

yeah, tampa's hard rock casino is on a "reservation" A little north, and a little east of downtown. its nice. great lounge performers. Worth a couple of quarters to check it out.

The one in ATL had live performers singing covers... fun work for college students with musical skills. Great enviroment for a night out in town.
