Ok does anyone know what happened to the Tru hotel slated for Millenium Drive? Land was cleared and plumbing was stubbed out and then the site was abandoned/all equipment was removed.

Are they ever going to build the additional phases of ICAR or will I be dead before that happens?

Like Innovista in Columbia, I don't think CU-ICAR will probably ever meet the lofty goals that were originally set. 

Losing that potential Automotive Supplier to Bridgeway doesn't help.

Oh, I dunno, it may take longer but eventually it will get built out. It may have a different scope or form than originally envisioned, but it will build out, especially as the area continues to boom. Even if it doesn't get everything initially planned, it was good they dreamt big and went for it but fell short; as opposed to no dream at all.

ICAR was never meant to be a 10 or 20 year build out. 

It's a true satellite campus. Clemson wasn't built over night and neither will ICAR.

According to the Greenville News (my bible), this will be a new corporate headquarters and R&D facility.

I would think a HQ/RD would result in additional jobs and investment going forward, potentially lots more.
