I guess Charlotte NCDOT members do realized our area do lack of funding to fix our area road.

Two powerful transportation officials in Union and Mecklenburg counties want to build U.S. 74's Monroe Bypass as a toll road, a move that could mean a faster drive to the beach years earlier for thousands of vacationers.

State transportation board members Larry Helms of Indian Trail and Marion Cowell of Charlotte are working on a proposal to the N.C.
