Here is the site plan of the first phase and retail anchor is of course Publix and 2nd anchor is Lifetime Fitness.  The hotel should do good too.  This has been such a long time coming I had forgotten what was proposed here.

I am confused myself but I think the most recent renderings released in Jan. would be the ones to follow.  Maybe the webpage has not been updated.

The site plan only has phase 1 and the tall building in the pic is phase 2

 I rotated the site plan to go with the rendering.  As you can see the tallest building would be behind the Publix parking deck.  The hotel is along Colony and appears to be 4-5 stories.

Apex at Southpark is great project and huge for Southpark area.

Today in the neighborhood.    The hotel the Hyatt Centric is shown in photos 5 and 6 which is on  the back side.

Apex on Saturday, and what's the structure being erected at the edge of the property?

^^^ to the right that steel frame is the new Sharon Church the original owners of all the property and the old ski slope church.

These pictures are great, but nothing does justice to how it looks in person. I drove through the other day trying to avoid the President's traffic jam. It is like a whole new city out there. I have only been down Barkley Downs to Fairview or Fairview to Park. I knew this construction was happening, but it is SO DIFFERENT. 

If you have the time, take a drive through the area. And take me with you so I can look without having to watch the traffic.

Got off work and walked around this evening. Took a few shots of the new senior facility and Canopy in SouthPark. Nice, quiet, pandemic evening.

In Southpark area today and of course I took some shots around the major projects.

Photos 1- 7 Apex Southpark apartments, retail, 175 room Hyatt Centric Hotel and a church. 

Photos 8-10     Zom's Hazel Southpark apartments with ground floor retail looks great!  

Photos 11 =14     Barclay Southpark senior apartments and Charlotte's first Canopy by Hilton hotel.   does anyone know what is planned for the entrance road that comes off Fairview?  

Photo 15   the new Restoration Hardware superstore.

I sure hope construction both residential and commercial is allowed to continue with this stay at home order for Meck. as it is done in Houston, Atlanta, California and even NY City.  Some of these projects are at vulunerable stages and water intrusion and other problems could develop.   Not even to mention the jobs lost even for 3 weeks could be devastating.

My only complaint is the parking deck screening isn't really a screen lol

All those sport sedans on 20+ inch wheels. They look like HotWheels cars which have oversize wheels in relation to the proportion of the vehicle they model.

Canopy SouthPark. I hear they will open mid June.
