Agreed. The car dealerships plus this hole in the ground have made this very well-traveled part of Broadway/West End feel dead for so long. Seeing this area activated will be very exciting. Between this and Endeavor, these tall buildings are filling in parts of a huge gap between downtown and midtown.

1. The anchor mispronounced Alex Palmer's name, lol.

2. They said they plan open the office building in February and the hotel/apartments not long after that. Uh... WAT.

I saw that and could not help but laugh. She had the month right, just not what year it will be. TV stations are the worst about getting the facts right, unlike most of the print media in the city that includes The TN, NBJ,& Post, that check sources and all do a good job of that.

The TV reporters just shoot from the hip and say what they want to say and get away with it.

I simply cannot look at those renderings enough. Will be so cool to see them in person. I'm especially eager to see how they look from a few blocks west of them, like around the new residential tower next to the Graduate hotel. There will be respectable little canyon even before the Greystar dual tower complex is finished.

West End will never be the same - and that is a good thing.  Of course it will help when the Beaman Towers go up.

Another permit has been landed for Broadwest: this one is $21 million and is related to the office tower.

Garage on east end is now up to street (9th level).  Pillars rising above Broadway on east side for the office tower.  Up to 8th level of garage in center, and 2nd level on west side, with more height being added to the hotel/condo tower stairwell/elevator shaft.

To this day it still blows my mind to see something OTHER than a giant swamp filling that canyon.  I almost feel like this project should be considered a WAY bigger deal.

Don't quote me on this but yesterday as I was driving towards Vanderbilt Children's Hospital I saw two Geotechnical engineers sampling that corner where the digital screen is at. Does anyone know if that's for the Broadwest project or was it done for a project yet unknown to us?

There are rumors of something being developed on the "flatiron" slice of land one day soon...but nothing concrete yet.
