The Milk District

There are two small House/office/retail structures at Glenwood and Robinson (next to Stasi’s). They’ve been unobtrusively occupied for ages so I never really paid much attention to them.

One has now been totally gutted and the other one is for rent. I wonder if there are plans. Either way, it might shore up that block a little bit.

Now, if OHA will finally make a real park of that lot across the street or else find the elusive grocery store they once wanted...

I was on a Target run last night and noticed the self-storage place behind Colonial Lanes has their sign lit up.

Hopefully, bowling and booze will be back soon!

But without the stench of 50-years of cigarette smoke and used beer, hopefully.

Perhaps more appropriate here [?]

It will be interesting to see how the Dean Foods bankruptcy affects T.G. Lee operations.

Not that Dean would immediately shut down T.G. Lee or anything that drastic, but it is interesting that Dean is said to be looking for buyers for its assets and not looking to reorganize and reemerge from bankruptcy as a going concern.

Hmm that's interesting.  So they literally were just using the alley for the land.  They supposedly had all these plans for the alley.

Yep. From GS

Titan bought the 2.5 acres for $2.1m then split, replatted and sold to investors who built the storage facility and now are under contract to sell the 1 acre portion where the lanes are to NRE.

NRE plans to invest a lot in upgrading the infrastructure of the building and "bring the old bowling alley and restaurant space into the 21st century, while still paying homage to its original architecture and retro designs."
