Smoke and Donuts has arrived on Primrose, much more quickly than the redo of Colonial Lanes (which seems to be following the path of God’s Skyscraper):

I'll be heading up in the next week or so to check it out.  If you haven't been and you like good Texas/Kansas City/esqe BBQ, I'd definitely try it.  Their brisket (from the food truck) is the best I've found locally.

Otto's High Dive and the adjacent rum bar (just west of Stasio's) is now open.

They're one and the same!   They've been open with a very limited menu for a couple of recent Milk District events (Milk Mart yesterday and Krampusfest a couple weeks ago) and I've enjoyed everything there so far.  Looking forward to dinner soon.

It's been almost four and a half years with the District, and I am moving on to new adventures!

So happy with the growth that's occurred in my time here, the preservation of existing/legacy businesses, and the projects on the horizon.   If you know anyone who'd be a good Executive Director, send them this link!

You have done an exceptional job!!! I hope your new gig is rewarding and you are able to show your talents as well as you did here.

Milk Stacks will break ground next Friday, 3/10, and there's a Milk District business after hours event to learn more about the project and meet the team.
The project will bring 25 apartments and 2 live/work units to the NE corner of Bumby and Jackson.

Considering the GC has no idea how to be a GC this project is going to run way behind.

I know a couple of people, but they aren't part of a "marginalized class" as the ad requires, i.e., black, female, or gay, or a variation.

The excavators are on site preparing to demo the existing houses.   Somehow this development qualified for a WMD permit exemption (I get why, but dang I didn't expect that).

Waiting for my neighbors to lose their minds upon finding out what happening there.

Is it the older home next to the atrium office building? Are they tearing that one down? I thought that was part of the bumby Homestead.

My understanding the Bumby Homestead sat where Keller Williams at the Parks is located right at Central and Bumby.  I believe these two buildings are coming down.  Both of which were part of the Lochrane/NV5 sale.
