I know the parcel and have wondered why it has not started. Red Seal is doing a number of projects around town in a little more desirable locations. This location is OK, but is a little separated from the rest of the Nations.

With the project at Clifton & Indiana, it looks as if things are shifting back to the East as property is a little cheaper for a rew months anyway. I think the area around the tracks and in between the Nations and John Henry Hale homes ( I think that is the name) may start to fill in now.

Having a Mapco on the inbound side of Charlotte would do booming business with morning rush hour (whenever we get back to a real morning rush hour).  I wouldn’t doubt Mapco’s interest in having convenience stores in both locations.

There's a Mapco at 43rd and Charlotte on the same side of the roadway, though. It's had work recently too, they rebranded it back from a Delta Express I think in 2019.

The 51st and Charlotte lot is larger and has more traffic volume and visibility so perhaps that is a target for relocation.

Back in my hometown, there are two Mapco's across the street from each other.

Novel Belle Meade will be 7 down to 3 stories, with 300 residential units, and a 437 capacity internal garage on 3.5 acres at 40 White Bridge Road (in the back of the Lions's Head Shopping Center).  This site is where a Steinmart has been in operation for decades.  Crescent Communities is the developer, the architect will be KTGY, and engineering-land planning will be handled by Barge Cauthen and Assoc. Only mass renderings available at this point.

Wow! What a surprise/upgrade for that shopping center.

Edit: They’re going to have to put another traffic light at the entry to the shopping center. That’s a tricky exit as it stands now.

It would work better if they would redirect their traffic to the Target signal or to Post Place. Target is technically a separate parcel (although in the same subdivision) but Post Place is public right-of-way. Adding a signal at the existing entrance would put it only 400 feet away from the Post Road / Post Place signal and 500 feet away from the Target signal, which is way too close on both counts.

Agreed. They may need to make improvements within the shopping center to direct traffic out through Post Place. Best scenario to direct traffic away from there would be to make it a right turn in, right turn out only intersection.
