I really like this building, its unique and different and a nice addition to the sylvan park row of restaurants/bars on Murphy Ave.

Edison Park (80 Townhomes) aerial update.

Thanks for the great aerial shots! The recent heavy rains have gotten me concerned that there isn't enough new drainage canal infrastructure or other water-dissipating measures to compensate for the loss of permeable surface area with these new developments. I guess the two long, parallel dirt pits in the center are going to serve as rain gardens, with a slight slope in the surrounding parking lot towards them? But it's not clear that there's any collecting mechanism other than the water just flowing down the street/yards towards the pits. The Treaty Oaks expansion has a basin that is much larger and clearly positioned downhill from the rest of the cottages and townhomes, and I believe I saw a system of stormwater drains that empty into said basin. I assume it did what it was supposed to do, since I walked by on Sunday and didn't see any significant water issue in Treaty Oaks. Plenty of mini-lakes elsewhere, though. The West Park parking lot and sports fields were flooded by water bursting out of the "Sanitary Sewer" manhole covers, then finding its way down to Richland Creek.
