May be the least creative design of all time, I understand its an improvement of what was there, but a little bit of creativity could have made an impact here.

Yes, especially considering that most of the units are more expensive than (or similar in price to) standalone tall skinnies in the area. Both the stacked flats and townhomes are mid-$500s. Sad at that price to have such drab designs.

Did a quick search for the Price Development Group project off of 3800 Charlotte. Looks as if there is some movement as things are working there way through permitting.

Yea, we had discussed that earlier and The Post did a story last week. They have not returned any calls, so I guess they will just start demo and work. They never did communicate well when they did the project in Germantown. I have been watching the permits as well over the past month or so.

I heard a lot of the neighbors up Old Charlotte are not happy about this one (the development, not the house getting razed).

Those neighbors need to pay attention to the BZA and Planning agendas. Many times if the property is properly zoned though, there is nothing the neighbors can do about it if the owner and developer are building within existing codes. Too many people have a poor understanding about how things work in Metro or any other city until it creeps up into their backyard.

They need to reach out to their Councilperson and get a new community plan in place, otherwise all of Charlotte Pike westward will be a mass of large apartment communities more than it is now.
