David Ingram is the lead investor in Panattoni's new 5 story, 113,000 sq. ft. office building at 1030 16th Ave. South. A loan of $23.2 million has been given to start construction any day now.

Friday at 10:00am Metro Nashville Historical Commission hosts an livestream dedication of  a new marker that celebrates “The Rock Block” of Elliston Place.  Go to their Facebook page to view the dedication.

The new Elliston Soda Shop will be open for sneak peek Sat. Sept. 26th from 10 AM to 4 PM as a fundraiser for Rev. Enoch Fuzz, pastor at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church in North Nashville, has been battling stage four lung cancer for most of this year. Some food samples will be available.

The revamped version of the historic diner is set for later this fall.  Some updated pics of the progress below.

Lola will be a new 2,160 sq. ft. Middle East cuisine restaurant built on the vacant lot at 4401 Murphy Rd. in Sylvan Park. The developer is Maher Fawaz who also owns Epice, Santo, and Kalamatas.

I'm very underwhelmed by Linden Row. The lack of variation in design and materials betweeen all the units is dissapointing. I think this will look very dated in a few years. I feel that buyers, at what will be a high price point, want some differences in the looks of the units. But with the location in mind, I think they will have no trouble selling.

I believe they are targeting mainly STR investors.

LOVE the looks of the Virgin hotel.

 

Is there not a more efficient way to heat or cool a place than all those units on the roof? I definitely have no idea, just seems like a lot of points of failure.

Bit of trivia on the Curb / Word building.  This was built for Capitol Records (which is the reason for the "Capitol" dome look.)  However...as it was being finished, Capitol decided they didn't want to move into the building and sold it...I believe, to Word (I'm thinking Word may have been the only occupant of the building from the start...but may be wrong).  Thinking it was built in late 90's...early 2000's.

According to the Metro Development Tracker, it seems the proposed Tapestry Hotel for Music Row is being revamped as residential.

Yea, we are going to try and have the story tomorrow if the jokers in Dickson ever decide to return calls.

There are a few other items on D Tracker as well. One real interesting item at the Belmont campus.

2115 Ellison Place  (single floor masonry structure built in 1925 with adjoining surface lot on .2 acre)  has sold for $2 million to Ridgefield Properties, which is involved with Tony Giarratana's proposed Rock Block Flats (6  stories, 30 units) at 2201, 2205, and 2209 Elliston Place. Hill Realty has owned the property since 1930, when it was purchased for $8,000.

“This allows us to expand the concept of Rock Block Flats,” Marc Stengel (of Ridgefield) told the Post regarding the just-purchased surface parking lot. At some point, Giarratana LLC is expected to construct a small building on the former Hill parking lot, Stengel added, noting his friend envisions "an unbroken" span of infilled urban buildings within this segment of Elliston Place. Relatedly, the Metro Board of Zoning Appeals will vote on Thursday, Oct.15, to allow for the future Rock Block Flats building to have a larger footprint (simply extending east behind the older buildings fronting Elliston Place).
