Woodfield Development's large Midtown residential project (6 stories, 292 units, 2 acres) at 1600 Patterson St. has been granted $51.1 million in permits for R.C. Mathews to get underway on construction.

Another tenant has opened at Belcourt Village (4 stories, 24,000 sq. ft. office/retail, 28 residential units, underground parking): Anzie Blue, which is a CBD Coffeeshop, is in a 3,800 sq. ft. space at 2111 Belcourt Ave. (directly across the street from Belcourt Theater). It has 21 employees, and also offers live music, including a jazz brunch on weekends.

William has the details of the sale of the "Firestone Building" at West End and 25th Avenue by Walgreen Inc. to George Tomlin's GBT for $8.1M.  Walgreen purchased the property in 2017 for $1.52M.  No development plans given but safe to assume at that price, the old art deco building is not long for this world.

Jim Love, owner of the iconic Brown's Diner at 2102 Blair Ave.  (circa 1927) is retiring after 47 years and selling the joint for an undisclosed price.  Good news is that the new owners plan on keeping everything as is.  : )

Wasn't expecting a tower crane for a 5 story project, but here it is: Panattoni's 16th Ave. South office building, which is now being called 1030 Music Row.

It looked like they were just sodding it (was previously gravelled for parking but was rarely used). There aren't any long-term plans for it that I know of.

Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital continues to buy up property around their complex.  They just paid $3 million for the .58 acre lot (featuring a nondescript 1 story building) at 316 22nd Ave. North.
